Welcome to the Osaka Shoes Maker Union website!
The union was established in 1962 based on the realization that the shoemakers themselves hold the key to solve various problems they face within the industry.
We hold trade shows, measure leather for fair trade and offer staff training workshops and overseas visits.
We need a new move in the fast flow of time. We ask, “How should makers be?” and “What are things that makers can do?” in order to prepare for the new era. We are pushing forward for what we can do now for the future and what we can do for the next generation.
We, the Osaka Shoes Maker Union, will always remember where we started and continue to take on challenges in our aim to revitalize shoemakers.
