We are the Osaka Shoes Maker Union.

Even as the times change, the essence of manufacturing has remained the same since we founded the union, and we have been constantly striving to deliver the best technology.

In recent times, the trends and customer needs are changing ever faster. Our approach is to determine what is valued and what quality is required in our time and for our members to work together and design quality products so that each of our product satisfies the customers.

Our goal is to continue improving our skills and quality so that it can be spread from Osaka to Japan and the world. We also aim to advance our efforts with our corporate members for further development.

All these thoughts have formed into the brand, COSAEMA.

At the same time that we take firm steps in what we can do, we will also work on conceiving new spaces, products, and services.

I humbly ask for your kind support. Thank you.

The history of Osaka Shoes Maker Union

The Osaka Shoes Maker Union was established in April 1962 with the merging of Kansai Seika Co., Ltd. and the Osaka Shoe Maker Association, based on the realization that the shoemakers themselves hold the key to solve various problems they face within the industry.

First, a promotion meeting for the foundation of association was held and 16 members met up several times to discuss the drafting of the articles of incorporation and design the framework for operating the union management.

The promoters called out to the makers for participation, awaiting the date of establishment.
The Osaka Shoes Maker Union held its inaugural meeting in April 1962 and received the certification from the Governor of Osaka in October of the same year. (The number of union members at the time was 58 companies.)

Thus, by looking ahead to a certain shoe industry, we aimed at the stability direction of the industry and established measures to develop on commercial morals.
We are celebrating our 57th anniversary since establishment this year in 2019.
